U.S. Frequency range: 50 to 54 MHz, as permitted in
Code of Federal Regulations,
Part 47, Subpart 97.
Receive site Noise floor: Typically 8 to 33 dB above kTB (thermal) noise, depending on receive site details1.
Propagation: Predominately VHF-line-of-sight, with a bit more ground-wave 'bending'.
